Our Work with other Museums

As a National Museum we are committed to providing greater access to our collections, knowledge, expertise and skills through our work with organisations across the UK and internationally.

Increasing access to collections through loans

We are home to over 3.5 million items of historical and cultural significance, and our diverse collection encompasses some of the finest and most compelling visual material to be found anywhere in the world.

We enable more people to access the National Media Collection by regularly loaning objects to museums around the world, and we provide institutions with free specialist expertise and guidance on collections care and management, interpretation and methods of display. To enquire about borrowing objects, please contact us at: collections.information@nmsi.ac.uk.
