Where is the National Media Museum?

How far is the Museum from the train/bus stations in Bradford?
The Museum is a five-minute walk from Bradford Interchange with rail, bus and taxi services all under one roof. Forster Square station is a 15-minute walk away.

How far is the Museum from Leeds?
Approximately 12 miles by car. The journey takes 20-25 minutes travelling by train.

Are there direct trains from London?
Grand Central Rail operate a direct service from London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange.

Which motorway is the nearest?
Take Junction 26 off the M62 and follow the brown tourism signs from Bradford City Centre.

Where is the nearest car park and how much does it cost?
Sharpe Street car park situated at the rear of the Museum costs £3.60 for 6 hours then 60p per hour. Radwell Drive costs £3.50 for 8 hours.

Are your meeting rooms accessible?
All our rooms are fully accessible. A hearing loop is installed in the On Location Conference Suite and auditoria, and a mobile hearing loop is available.

What is your largest daytime conference capcity?
We can seat up to 300 people, theatre-style, in the Pictureville Cinema auditorium and 80 people in the On Location Conference Suite. Daytime conference facilities for up to 140 people are available at our sister venue, the National Railway Museum.

What is your largest evening dinner capacity?
We can seat up to 150 for dinner in our glazed atrium.

Complimentary WiFi is available in the conference rooms and the Museum foyer.

Can we hire the Museum galleries?
Museum galleries can be hired after 18.00 every day, and on Mondays when we are closed to the public (during term time).

All auditoria are available for hire, including the IMAX theatre.

We can source a large selection of films for private screenings.

Can we provide our own catering?
Delectable and creative cuisine is provided by our exclusive caterers, Digby Trout. Delicious canapés, appetising bowl food and exquisite banquets are a speciality. Food is freshly prepared on site, making the most of Yorkshire’s finest produce.

- We have signed up the 10:10 campaign, which aims to cut 10% of UK emissions in 2010.
- We have recycling bins in all conference rooms.
- We use seasonal and local produce where possible for buffets and dinners.
- We encourage delegates to use public transport.
