The International Poetry Incarnation held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on June 11, 1965 brought together edgy poets from the UK with the giants of the US beat scene. In the midst of the stoned disorder of the UK’s first ‘happening’ Peter Whitehead, using a borrowed camera, was able to capture a powerful eyewitness account of history in the making.
