Parliament Week
As part of Parliament Week 2012 our Curator of Photographic Technology, Colin Harding, has made a special selection of photographs from the National Collection showing the Houses of Parliament.
The photographs range from Roger Fenton's views of the iconic building which were taken soon after its completion, to Pictorial images taken at the turn of the last century, and touristic views of what is now a famous British landmark.
Parliament Week (19 - 25 November) is an annual initiative coordinated by the Houses of Parliament that looks at the people, places and events that shape democracy in the UK. The events will inspire people to get involved with politics, encourage them to make their voices heard on the issues that matter to them, look at how our democracy works today and discuss its future.
