Object of the Month

Each month we bring you a video exhibiting an object from our Collection, presented by one of the Museum Curators.

This November, BAF Game, a strand of Bradford Animation Festival (8 - 12 November) will explore the overlap between video games, animation and film, and will feature presentations and masterclasses from key industry figures.

  "It launched a whole industry. It proved that people wanted to play videogames on their TVs at home and it influenced the big names like Pong... Ralph Baer (inventor) can be considered the Father of Videogames."

  Tom explains why the Magnavox Odyssey Video Games Console is one of his favourite objects in the Collection.
