Eisenstein and Soviet Montage
Please note: This event has been cancelled.
Sergei Eisenstein was the most famous of the pioneering 1920s
filmmakers and in many ways his ideas were the most complex
and the most radical. Including a screening of the 1925 Battleship
Potemkin , this Study Day will place his films in the broader contexts
of Soviet and Silent cinema, but also look at how their influence
can still be seen in contemporary cinema.
