Student Karla drifts through her days working in a bar, longing for her boyfriend who is abroad. She keeps her relationship going through long telephone calls. At the bar, Sugar has just been kicked out of her apartment and Karla offers her a room. But Sugar brings her husband and son. They soon take over. Sugar and her husband confide to Karla two contradictionary stories about the true reasons why they are on the run. Both stories are very plausible; both visitors very loveable. Karla can’t see the truth. Ulrike Molsen’s short drama is a well-made and slow-burning story that focuses on a young woman waking up to her real world.
