Bite The Mango is a stand-alone element of the Museum’s film programme, focusing on great films from South Asia, Africa, East Asia, the Middle East and South America, as well as films made by black and Asian filmmakers in Europe and America.

Each month Bite The Mango will offer filmgoers the opportunity to immerse themselves in rarely-seen films from around the world. It starts in August 2009 with a rare screening of the mighty Bollywood classic Sholay.

Each year there will also be a celebratory Bite The Mango weekend, presenting more of the myriad delights from the very best of world cinema. The first of these weekends takes place on 26 and 27 September 2009.
