Room 237 - Being an Inquiry into The Shining in 9 Parts (15)
Amusingly loopy but frequently fascinating, Room 237 is a compendium of conspiracy theories concerning Stanley Kubrick's horror classic The Shining.
The contributors - journalist, professor, musician, playwright and 'conspiracy hunter' offer the notion that Kubrick was apologising for faking the 1969 moon landings, or that he superimposed an image of himself onto his film.
An obsessive film, but only as much as Kubrick was himself, and this is a fine companion to a great puzzle of a film.
The extended version of The Shining (15) is playing from Wednesday 31 October.
