Weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays at 2.00pm Daily tours take in the world’s most important collection of photography, including the Daily Herald Archive and the Royal Photographic Society Collection. You can also see an unrivalled collection of film and television technology, including some of the most significant examples anywhere in the world.
Screenwriting – Intermediate
- Evening course starting Wednesday 20 May
This class aims to follow and build on the previous introductory screenwriting courses and provide participants with the opportunity to develop a short film script from concept through to first draft. There will also be regular screenings and discussions of short films in a bid to further understand the genre, and the opportunity to expand on the basic screenwriting principles covered in the introductory sessions. Delivered by Joe Hepworth, Screenwriter and Visiting Lecturer at the Northern Film School. With an opportunity to speak to Screen Yorkshire to find out what to do with your finished script.£150, £110 concessions

Creative Writing course

Krasner Kraus RoomWithout character there is no story. The most effective characters are like the best portraits in that they prompt the reader to see the whole person in their imagination. Join the National Media Museum’s writers circle and learn how to create characters using the National Collection for inspiration. This course is open to all who have an interest in writing regardless of education or experience.
6 sessions in the Krasner Kraus Room
