  • Will I receive the Film brochure by post?

    You receive the current Film brochure in your Welcome Pack. You will then receive the film brochure every six weeks by post or exclusively up to 2 weeks early of it hitting the Museum floor by Email. If you have supplied the Membership scheme with your email address you will automatically receive the brochure by email. If you would prefer to receive the brochure by post please email Dale Ellis, Membership Executive, to be put on the postal mailing list.

  • Can I buy Membership @ National Media Museum for someone other than myself?

    If you want to give something a bit different, Membership is a great gift idea. Find out how on our Give Membership as a Gift page. You can choose whether to have the Welcome Pack sent to you or the recipient. Please allow three weeks for a gift Welcome Pack to arrive.

  • When can I start using my benefits?

    If you join at the Museum box office, you will be issued with a temporary Membership Card, and your two free cinema tickets straight away. You can use your 10% discount in the café, shop and bar and also use your free tickets on the same day. If you join over the phone, you will receive your pack within two weeks, but if you would like to start using your benefits before then, you can have a temporary card and your two free tickets issued by visiting the box office.

  • Can I lend my Membership Card to somebody else?

    Membership Cards have a named Member and are only to be used by that Member. If you know someone who would enjoy the benefits of Membership why not buy a Gift Membership? You can, however, treat a friend to a film using your free cinema tickets, as long as you are accompanying them.

  • Do I need to book tickets for the Members-only events?

    If you would like to attend a Members-only event, you need to book as places are limited. Details will be provided on the Member Only newsletter when the events are advertised. Simply follow the instructions to register.

  • I've lost my card. What should I do?

    Please contact the Membership Executive, who will be able to send you a replacement card within two weeks. This will be free of charge in the first instance, but a small administrative charge will apply for further replacements.

  • How many free cinema tickets will I get, and who can use them?

    You will receive two free cinema tickets. Both the cinema vouchers are named, and to be redeemed they must be presented with the corresponding Membership Card. You can use your free tickets for non-members, but you must accompany them.

  • How long will my Membership last?

    Membership @ National Media Museum lasts for one year.

  • My Welcome Pack still hasn't arrived - what should I do?

    Please allow up to two weeks from the date you joined for your Welcome Pack to arrive. If you have still not received it after this time, please contact our Membership Executive. In the meantime you can still enjoy all the great benefits of Membership by using your temporary card.

  • How will I receive my newsletter?

    This will be emailed out to all Members who supplied us with their email address during the last week of the following months: February, May, July and October. It includes all Member offers, competitions, event information and Museum highlights. To ensure you receive the newsletter please email the Membership Executive.

  • How do I find out about offers if I do not have access to the internet?

    If you do not have internet access, you can pick up a copy of our Members e-bulletin from the box office in the foyer on the last day of the following months: February, May, July and October.

  • How can I make a complaint or suggestion?

    If you have any feedback on the Membership scheme including suggestions for events, then you can contact Dale Ellis, Membership Executive by email, telephone or in writing. Dale's contact details are at the top of this page. Alternatively, if you would like to make a comment, suggestion or complaint when visiting the Museum, please ask for a Membership @ National Media Museum comment card at the Box Office and return to staff on the day. These can also be returned to Dale Ellis, Membership Executive at a later date by post.
