the page you have just come from. The participant's name and the date
will be in black together with the lines underneath them. If you came
from one of the younger person's pages or the Mill page, their name and
the circle next to them will be in black.

Using the subject routes
Starting
from the map page
Click
on one of the coloured circles with the subject initials at the bottom
right of the grid (number 3 on diagram 2). Green (G) for geography, turquoise
(E) for English, blue (A) for art, purple (H) for history and red (P)
for personal and social education.
Starting
from other pages
The
pages in the site that are on one of the subject routes have a coloured
circle indicating the route in the top right corner of the page (number
8 on diagram 1). Clicking on one of these circles will start that subject
route. Green (G) for geography, turquoise (E) for English, blue (A) for
art, purple (H) for history and red (P) for personal and social education.
Moving
along the routes
If
you have a recent web browsing programme (Microsoft Internet Explorer
or Netscape Navigator versions 4 or higher), you will see a page like
diagram 3 when you start a subject route. You can move along the route
by clicking the backward and forwards arrows (number 1 on diagram 3),
the numbers next to the arrows tell you where you are in the sequence.
You can also choose to go directly to the start of a participant's pages
(for the geography, English, art and personal and social education routes)
or the start of a date section (for the history route) by using the drop
down menu (number 2 on diagram 3).
If you have
an older web-browsing programme, you will see a page like diagram 4 when
you start a subject route. To move along the routes click on each of the
numbers in the columns in turn (number 1 on diagram 4). You will need
to use your browser's back button (number 2 on diagram 4) to return
to the page after you have looked at each page on the route.
You can
move between the subject routes by clicking on the appropriate colour
tab on the top right of the page (number 3 on diagrams 3 or 4). Green
(G) for geography, turquoise (E) for English, blue (A) for art, purple
(H) for history and red (P) for personal and social education.
Closing
the subject routes
If
you have a recent web browsing programme (Microsoft Internet Explorer
or Netscape Navigator versions 4 or higher), you can close the subject
route by clicking on the word close at the top left of the page
(number 4 on diagram 3).
If you have
an older web-browsing programme, you don't need to close the subject route.
As soon as you go to another page, unless you use your browser's back
button (number 2 on diagram 4), you have left the subject route page.
