Mum and her Friend, 1938

This photograph was also taken at Jerome's photographic studio. It shows mum and her friend, and was taken in October 1938. When mum first came to Bradford she worked in service, looking after other people's houses. There was no work for women where she came from, because most of the work was mining. She moved to Bradford so that she could get a job.
