In response to our current exhibition, Henri Cartier-Bresson’s Scrapbook: Photographs 1932-1946, the National Media Museum presented a day of talks from photographers and photography scholars exploring how global events and concerns are accurately documented in an age of increasing globalisation, centralisation and commercialism.
This seminar day examined the role of respectful and humanist photography championed by Cartier-Bresson, in a world with a growing appetite for drama and spectacle.
