Winners of the National Media Museum 2010 Photography Awards Announced

The National Media Museum, in partnership with Photoworks and five sponsors, have made six awards from a total Award sum of £20,000.

The Awards form part of the Museum's ongoing commitment to contemporary photography by supporting the work of emerging and mid-career photographers. They will assist talented photographers with the production of ongoing projects or a new body of work and, provide support for them to develop and enhance their practice and profile.

National Media Museum Curator of Photographs, Greg Hobson said:

"The Awards go from strength to strength and quality and breadth of applications remains consistently strong and exciting."

The successful applicants are:

Anna Fox
Stuart Griffiths
Clarita Lulić
Regine Petersen
Vanessa Winship

The National Media Museum is also pleased to announce that James Hyman Photography will be staging an exhibition of the 2010 Award winners at their Savile Row gallery in March 2011.

The sponsors working in partnership with the Museum and Photoworks are Michael G Wilson (Chairman of the Trustees of the National Media Museum), Pierre Brahm (Chairman of the BRAHM and Henry & James Property Group), Zelda Cheatle (Curator and Director of the Tosca Fund Photography Collection), Simon Crocker (Chairman of The John Kobal Foundation), and James Hyman (James Hyman Gallery).
