BAF Game

The Art of Gaming

Introversion's Darwinia

2006 sees the continuation of the Festival's commitment to showcase the flourishing relationship between the worlds of animation, film and video games with BAF Game. In partnership with the University of Bradford, BAF Game will feature talks, discussions and workshops led by industry experts that explore the creative side of gaming in all its forms.

As gaming technology continues to push new boundaries, BAF Game 2006 questions what effects this will have on the creative nature of video games. Just how much further can game aesthetics evolve? How vast can virtual worlds become? And what new ways of interaction will emerge to create an even more immersive gaming experience?

Insiders from the games industry will attempt to uncover the answers as well as offering advice on how to break into this highly creative and imaginative profession whether as an animator, modeller, concept artist, scriptwriter or game designer.
