Reminiscence Session - 1950s Childhood
Wednesday 29 October 2008, 10.30am – 12.30pm, meet by the lens in the foyer.

Join the reminiscence group and share your memories of childhood toys, television and life in the 1950s inspired by photos from the Daily Herald Archive and programmes from the TV Heaven collection. Enjoy a tea or coffee and biscuits in Pictureville bar after the session. This event is free, however places are limited so please book in advance.

An Evening with the Curator - “Here’s One We Made Earlier…” 50 Years of Blue Peter
Thursday 6 November 2008, 6.30pm - 7.15pm, Gallery One.

Join our, Curatorial Assistant-TV Heaven, Kate Dunn, in a guided tour of the exhibition and discover more about the history of Blue Peter. Tickets are £3 and include a complimentary glass of wine in Pictureville Bar after the event.

Blue Peter was a unique children’s programme when it began in the late 1950s. In this session we will watch some programmes from the TV Heaven collection including early Blue Peter episodes and look at some photos from the Daily Herald Archive to inspire your memories of children’s TV during the 1950s.
