The opportunity to post your suggestions has now closed. However, following a highly successful response, Simon selected a number of locations and events in the Bradford District to photograph, drawn from the suggestions received.

For the new photographic work, Simon Roberts was looking for outdoor locations, events or leisure pursuits taking place in the Bradford District. The National Media Museum commissioned Simon Roberts to produce a new photographic work in the Bradford District for inclusion in the upcoming exhibition Simon Roberts: We English. The exhibition opens 12 March – 5 September 2010.

Throughout 2008, Simon Roberts travelled the length and breadth of England, documenting the English at leisure in its richly varied landscape. Gathered together as We English, his works are an intriguing and lyrical, personal exploration of Englishness.
