When Douglas Adams died suddenly in May
2001, aged just 49, the world of absurdist
comedy lost one of its masters. Energetic,
witty and ceaselessly, hysterically funny,
Adams brought his unique comic gifts to
a range of media including radio, television
and books. As the creator of The Hitchhiker’s
Guide to the Galaxy he occupies a warm place
in the hearts of sci-fi fans everywhere.
FFW2004 is delighted to be able to celebrate
his genius.
Further
details on Adams can be found on Magrathea,
a website operated by our special guest
M.J. Simpson.
This
event is presented in collaboration with
the Bradford Book Festival.
