Following an extensive early career in episodic television on series including, Scotland Yard, Man in a Suitcase and Journey to the Unknown, Peter Duffell made a terrific film debut with The House That Dripped Blood, one of the many portmanteau films from Amicus. A perfect example of the anthology picture, it boasted a mouth-watering ensemble cast – Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Ingrid Pitt, Jon Pertwee – in separate tales, thus further strengthening an already powerful project. Peter’s later work includes the features England Made Me and Inside Out plus, for TV, Tales of the Unexpected and Space Precinct. The print of The House That Dripped Blood forms part of the Museum’s private archive and was previously screened in 2006. This year we are delighted to show it in the presence of the director.
