Fantastic Films Weekend is the North of England’s premier festival dedicated to horror, fantasy and sci-fi cinema and television.
It's hosted by the National Media Museum – which can screen all film formats including widescreen 70mm, 3-strip Cinerama and IMAX.
Each year the FFW showcases a disparate line-up of classic chillers, sci-fi shockers, modern-day digital epics, vintage TV shows and rarely seen gems from the vaults. It focuses on movies by the likes of Hammer, Amicus and AIP.
Past guests have included Robin Hardy, John Hough, Lawrence Gordon Clark and the sci-fi legend that is Brian Aldiss.
