Bradford Animation Festival
The 21st edition of this festival of animation, gaming and digital effects took place in November 2014 at the National Media Museum. Host to screen talks, retrospectives, workshops and special events by some of the industry's top names, the festival culminated in the annual BAF Awards, which celebrated the very best in new animation from around the world.
Past guests have included representatives from world-renowned studios Pixar, Aardman, Weta Workshop and Sony Interactive, plus animation legends Ray Harryhausen, Richard Williams, Bob Godfrey, Nick Park, Joanna Quinn, Caroline Leaf, Michael Dudok de Wit and Bill Plympton.
The festival also incorporated BAF Game, a series of inspiring industry talks and workshops dedicated to exploring the overlaps between the worlds of video games, animation, and film.
In 2016 the National Media Museum launched the Yorkshire Games Festival, a brand new five-day event bringing the biggest names in gaming to Bradford.
