Film

The Bradford International Film Festival starts on March 18th and is full of new movies and special guests, including John Hurt, Imelda Staunton and Nicolas Roeg.

Either side of the film festival the choices are perhaps easier to make, so why not pick a Best Actor Oscar turn (Crazy Heart, The Last Station, The Lovely Bones) the gleaming restoration of The Red Shoes, one of the best French films on release this year (Father of my Children), and a startling film from Africa (Xala)?
