Ajami is a district of the Israeli city of Jaffa, a place where Arabs, Jews and Christians live and mix at close quarters: An Arab boy is killed in a case of mistaken identity. The intended target is Omar, whose family is involved in a bitter feud. Fleeing to Jerusalem, Omar must raise blood money to settle the feud while negotiating his love for a Christian girl.
