These evening courses, talks and day schools are delivered by experts who are passionate about film: film writers, curators, screenwriters, teachers and historians. Everyone is welcome. You don't need any previous knowledge, experience or qualifications.
You can also buy a ticket for any of our 16+ film events, which focus on key texts and film concepts in the National Curriculum.

Saturday 11 February
This study day will feature some of the memorable sequences from his films and offer discussion of his place in the pantheon. Includes a screening of Women in Love.
Tuesdays evenings 21 Feb - 2 April
This course will look at a group of very different films that go behind the news to discover the 'other stories', about how people live their lives and how they see themselves.
Saturday 25 February
This illustrated talk will discuss the context of Vigo's three very distinctive films and their unique lyricism, before a screening of his restored masterpiece, L'Atalante.
Saturday 17 March
This day school will explore Winterbottom's use of Hardy's characters and themes, within his own eclectic cinematic vision. Includes a screening of Trishna.
